As 2023 draws to a close, we find ourselves reflecting on the incredible experiences that have defined our community building and social impact work this year. From the empowering vibes of our experience at Femmefluence in February to our recent fall Judy Fund campaign to help #EndAlz, our year has been a tapestry of connection and collective impact. Femmefluence: Gathering with Diverse Women Leaders
Our year began with the vibrant energy of the day-long Femmefluence Forum, Marketplace, and Dinner organized by entrepreneur Jennifer Kem and her visionary “unicorn team.” I spoke on a panel about women’s affluence and influence alongside incredible women business thought leaders. Our team helped all the women discover the confidence-building of Democracy jeans through a Try-On event like none other. And at dinner, we discussed what’s possible when women leaders intentionally champion one another. From start to finish, we immersed ourselves in a celebration of women's empowerment. Circle of Mothers: A Heartfelt Connection
In the spring, we focused our efforts on the Circle of Mothers Healing Retreat, organized by Trayvon Martin’s mother Sybrina Fulton, raising awareness and dollars to support mothers who are grieving the loss of a child to senseless violence. Attending the retreat in Florida for our third time in person, we connected individually with each mother to hear their stories and help them find jeans that can bring them comfort and confidence in the midst of all they face. Along the way, we learned profound lessons about the power of presence, the resilience of joy, and the impact we can collectively make to heal and support one another. A New Way of Life: Supporting Transformation
In between these powerful moments, we had the privilege of collaborating with A New Way of Life, an organization dedicated to supporting women formerly incarcerated in rebuilding their lives. Witnessing the transformative impact of our "jean whisperer" experience and the joy it brought to both the staff and the women they support was a testament to the revitalizing force of new beginnings and championing one another in community. Unveiling the Journey with The Judy Fund
As the fall season of 2023 unfolded, we reunited with The Judy Fund in a mission to combat Alzheimer's disease and its disproportionate impact on women. From participating in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s to hosting a pop-up experience and launching a dedicated collection with proceeds supporting the cause, each step was a testament to the collective generosity of our community. The Judy Fund Campaign became a shared effort, with your support propelling us to new heights, raising awareness and funds in the fight against this devastating disease.
